"The Bill" - Contributed by Jane Rager

Last year our son-in-law was in an automobile accident that nearly totaled his much-loved pickup truck. Although he took very good care of the truck, it had dents and scratches from normal wear and tear before the accident.

          It was determined that the truck could be repaired and since it would be in the shop already, he opted to have the dents and scratches also repaired while it was there

          Many weeks later, the truck was done, and he went to the shop to pick it up.  The mechanic proudly told him that the truck was “as good as newand presented him with a sizable bill.

          As Christians, we get dented and scratched as we go through life and sometimes, something happens that nearly totals us.  But when we accept Christ, he is like the mechanic except He doesn’t make us “as good as new,” he makes us brand new again! The best part is that when we get the bill, it is marked “PAID IN FULL”.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation;

old things have passed away;

behold, all things have become new.”

~2 Corinthians 5:17   NKJV~

          During the Easter season, we are especially reminded of the price Jesus paid for the salvation of each and every one of usHis suffering paid the price for our many sins and short comings. His resurrection gives us the hope of eternal life with Him.
